study

Perfect Little Thing came to Marca with a slow, outdated WooCommerce site that was underperforming commercially and creating significant operational friction behind the scenes. Conversion was low, bounce rate was high, and the backend was clunky, time-consuming, and difficult for the team to manage.
The core challenge wasn’t just improving the website’s look, it was building a store that was genuinely designed for performance. They needed speed, clarity, and a customer journey that could support paid media profitably, while still reflecting the aesthetic quality of the brand.
In short, they wanted a platform that worked as hard as they did.
We approached this as both a commercial and operational rebuild.
First, we migrated the entire store from WooCommerce to Shopify, carefully transferring all data while rebuilding the site from the ground up with speed, stability, and scalability in mind.
From there, we redesigned the customer journey to improve product discovery and increase average order value. This included sibling product structures, enhanced search, advanced filtering, a new mega menu, and smarter upsell and cross-sell logic.
We rebuilt the PDPs as deep-dive decision pages, layering in trust signals across the site, including on-site reviews and UGC, to reduce hesitation and build confidence at the moment of purchase.
On the operational side, we implemented a dedicated returns portal to improve the customer experience while reducing internal friction. We also cleaned up and rebuilt their email flows and automations to stop lead leakage and improve retention.
Finally, we ran multiple on-site visits to train the team, ensuring they felt confident using and managing the new platform long-term.
Rather than focusing on isolated metrics, we aligned the project around long-term profitability and ease of scale.
The rebuild delivered a 64% uplift in conversion rate, a 41% increase in APMU, and a 75% improvement in page speed. Beyond the numbers, the team now operates on a platform that is significantly easier to manage, faster to iterate on, and better aligned with their commercial goals.
The result is a smoother internal workflow, a stronger customer experience, and a store that converts paid traffic into profit more efficiently.
